A lump of Coal
I completely agree with what Obama is saying here. It only makes sense to raise taxes for the wealthy. What would be the argument against it? The wealthy get paid more; therefore they are taxed more. Why tax the lower and middle income families more with they can barely situate with the current economy as it is? We are all eager to know what is going to happen and where our futures stand. We the people know that it will come down to a last minute battle but on the other hand it is good to know that Obama is on the right track in trying to fix the economy while making the people of his country happy. It would be nice for a decision to be made before Christmas so families can plan a budget for the holidays and the coming New Year. But why is it that Congress states they don’t see an agreement being made anytime soon? What is the thought process behind raising taxes for everyone; increase the poverty of the lower class and possibly some of the middle class, while the upper class has no serious effects. It’s the only logical solution to solve the debt this government has gotten into. This is how it should have been from day 1. It shouldn’t have led to this much debt to realize that the wealthy need to be taxed more than the lower and middle classes. But until a decision is made, we will all be eagerly waiting to hear the final outcome.
